Directions: 1. Remove seasoning packet. Rinse and rain beans. 2. Place beans in a 4 quart pot, add 10 cups of water and stir in seasoning packet. 3. Add meat, if desired (Add 1 Ib. sliced sausage, cubed ham or other meat) (Beef or chicken stock may be substituted for water, if desired). 4. Cover and bring to a boil. 5. Reduce heat to medium, uncover pot, stir and cook on low boil for 2 - 2.5 hours (add water as necessary) or until beans are tender. Serve over rice.
