Our Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon represents the epitome of western Rutherford benchland terroir --exhibiting intensely saturated colors, aromas, and flavors. A perfumed bouquet of wild dark berry aromas, crushed earth, and toasty oak spice transitions to a palate brimming with classic Cabernet character. Blackberry, cassis, and black forest cake weave seamlessly with notes of wild rose, and well-integrated oak adds nuances of cedar, cinnamon, clove and caramel. The mouthfeel is saturated and supple, with a generous complexity and power. The focused "Rutherford dust" tannins are polished, broad, and round, showcasing the signature cocoa powder texture and expansive character for which Rutherford is known. The finish is long and persistent, with incredible elegance and refinement. A true showstopper of a Cabernet representing the very best from this distinguished AVA.
