Chili con carne: Yield: 8 serving. 1. Crumble and brown 2 lbs. ground beef in large skillet. Drain fat if desired. 2. Stir in 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce and 1 cup (8 oz) water or 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes. 3. Add 1 can (15 oz) red, kidney, or pinto beans. 4. Blend in chili seasoning. Salt if desired. 5. Simmer 10 minutes or longer. Chili may be topped with sour cream, shredded cheese, onions, hot chilies or guacamole. Ground pork or turkey may be substituted for the ground beef.
