With case. Noise reduction rating: 21 decibels. Silicone ear plugs. Conforms to seal out water and keep ears dry. Protechs Ear Plugs help to seal out water when worn properly. Great for swimming. Noise Reduction Rating: 21 decibels (when used as directed). The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers denote greater effectiveness). Questions? 1-800-328-2742. Made in USA.
Not recommended for overnight use, diving, prolonged underwater swimming, or depths over 10 feet. Although these plugs are not intended for use as hearing protectors, they will help block sound when properly sealed. In case of airplane use, remove prior to descent. Caution: Inspect product before use and replace plugs if they are damaged or show signs of wear. Not for prolonged use. Product intended for single user only. Do not cut, stretch or break apart ear plugs. If ear plug has become lodged in ear canal, do not try to remove with tweezers or any other device. Seek medical attention for proper removal. Small parts - choking hazard. Keep out of reach of children. If you should experience pain or discomfort when using this product, please discontinue use. Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase. Label required by US EPA Regulation 40 CFR Part 211 Subpart B. Information Required by EPA: The level of noise entering a person's ear, when a hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: (1) The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dBa. (2) The NRR is 21 decibels (dB). (3) The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to [92 dB(A) - 21] 71 db(A). Caution: For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the enclosed instructions for proper fit. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reductions Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire.
